Identity Checks
Every player at Prince Albert Casino goes through verification so that accounts, payments and withdrawals remain secure and lawful. This page sets out each check, the documents that may be requested and what follows if verification is left incomplete.
A. Why we verify
We operate only where local legislation allows play, and we fully meet Canadian rules covering age, identity checks and money laundering prevention. Verification proves your real identity, confirms that you are 19+ and shows the funds in your account legitimately belong to you. It also guards you against fraud and against anyone trying to misuse your details.
B. Sanctions lists and politically exposed persons
Every account holder is screened against sanctions lists on sign-up and periodically from then on. We also check whether a player holds a prominent public role, or is linked to someone who does through family or close association. A match is not an automatic refusal; instead, enhanced checks follow, and play resumes only after approval from our compliance team. Accounts are never opened or kept for sanctioned persons.
C. Records and reporting
How long we retain the documents that prove your identity, the history of your transactions and the outcome of our verification checks is set by Canadian law. All of these files sit in protected storage that only authorised staff can open. Where we spot suspicious activity, we are legally bound to notify the relevant Canadian authorities, and we may not be allowed to inform the player that such a notification was made. Your Privacy explains how personal data is handled.
D. Identity and age checks
Your first deposit is accepted only after we have confirmed your age, your identity and your playing location. Most checks are electronic. Where they are not sufficient, we ask for documents such as:
- A passport, driver's licence or other valid government photo ID
- A utility bill or bank statement, issued in recent months, displaying your home address and name
- Confirmation that the payment method is registered to you, such as your bank's statement or an e-wallet profile screenshot that displays your name
Images must be clear, in colour and show the whole document. Deposits and withdrawals must use payment methods held in your name, and third-party payments are not accepted.
E. Source of funds
A notable rise in deposits, or a clear change in how your account is used, will lead us to ask where your funds came from. Payslips, tax documents and bank statements are accepted, as are records of savings, an inheritance or a property sale. Everything you send is kept confidential, and our requests are limited to what the check actually needs.
F. When verification cannot be completed
Deposits and withdrawals are paused whenever a document is missing, illegible or inconsistent. If verification is not completed, or we find that false information was supplied, we shut the account, and the remaining balance is treated as the law and our Terms & Conditions require.
G. Ongoing monitoring
Verification does not end once your account is approved. We monitor transactions and play patterns throughout the life of an account, and we request updated documents when identification expires, personal details change or activity no longer matches your profile. This monitoring also supports our responsible gaming checks.
H. Contact
